Route #1: 3-hour hike
Departure from the house along a “classic” route that will allow you to discover several valleys of the Viñales National Park. Several stops: one at a tobacco barn to learn how tobacco leaves are grown and how the famous Cuban cigars are made. Another stop at a farm where the cultivation of local fruits and especially coffee will be explained.
Recommendation: bring water, closed shoes (ideal for walks)
Itinerary #2 (and favorite): Sunrise Walk to Los Acuaticos
Clearly for early risers, but definitely worth the detour! The guide picks you up by taxi at the house for a short 15-minute ride. On the way for an hour of walking with the headlamp. Constant ascent to a place called Les Acuaticos. It is an exceptional point of view to admire the sunrise over the valleys of Viñales. Privileged moment to be alone in the world. Descent through the field with bird watching, easier to observe at this early and quiet hour. The taxi will accompany you for the last kilometers. Approximate return time around 9:30 am. for your breakfast lovingly prepared by Eusebia.
Recommendation: bring water, closed shoes (ideal for hiking) and a fully charged headlamp or mobile phone to turn on when you start.
